ZR1 PRODUCTION TO HALT
This latest piece of data we received today does not excite us to share, 
but you folks have always counted on us being involved and caring to provide you the proper representation of Corvette, this includes ZR1. The ZR1 story is a saga in itself and we’ll save that for a raining day. It does us no good to promote the car in the wrong manner.
Here is what we know so far…#1, much more info is needed. With the Corvette plant on shutdown this week as many of you may know, the plans are to Consolidate and slow the line down, yes this means LESS Corvette production for the time being and again, this includes ZR1.
Greg got a tip last week that the ZR1 thing may be coming to a halt, today we got that news. ZR1 is halted as we speak… We were viewing our Corvette build cycles and noticed our ZR1 in the system now had not yet been assigned a build week…the flag was thrown and now we wait. 
We have also found out that cars JUST DAYS ago that HAD build weeks are now showing NOTHING. Which means there is a very good chance those cars in the system for build, will not get built. It’s sad to see a dealer that sells (?) a bunch of rental cars receive a ZR1 and others wait for what may never come.
That is the question we all have for GM. If there is a delay, OK, so be it, but are they going to kill the car in midstream to produce more Z06’s in which they have 5 more times the tooling already in place to do so!? We can guess and speculate all we want, we do KNOW something is up and await the official reply and reaction as to why from GM. If and WHEN ZR1 fires back up remains to be seen, because there is a good chance it’s over before it ever really got rolling. That would be sad because of all the hard work to get to this point in the first place. If you have a ZR1 in your hot little hands now…congratulations, every Corvette has a story, yours has begun!
