HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Being 1st is nothing more than bragging rights sure, but being involved and keeping you informed, continues to show you folks in the audience that we are serious about our representation, serious about providing you the right information and being we are the ones doing so, so often, we continue to earn your trust and simply ask for those business opportunities. 85%+ of our business is done out of state, it’s easier than you think and I think adds fun to your purchase.
I know how excited you folks get to see what is coming NEXT, just remember not to forget the values that are in front of us. 2008 Corvette is going to finish strong and heading into the 2009 model year ( which will launch in July ) we are excited about the opportunities.
Some of the rumors on 2009 changes we have heard..
…but not yet confirmed from GM are;
67U Machine Silver is being dropped. But 2 new colors are being added. One we have already seen on the ZR1 previews Cyber Grey, the other one we expect to be BLADE Silver of some sort per the GM ZR1 press info. (thanks Clark) The codes simply say Marketing name TBD, I would even imagine Cyber Grey may change names too. So yes, after running years with only 8 colors, we will now have 9 colors.
To answer some questions that have been coming in, it does appear that the new colors will be available on ALL Corvettes and not just the New ZR1.
The Z06 and ZR1 are in the same order category 1YY87 and new wheel codes look like Q6A, Q6B, Q8A not sure if those are specific to ZR1 only or if Z06 will also get a new wheel (?!)
There is no mention of HP changes and I was not able to find the bluetooth Tadge had mentioned in April. I do see the F55 option, again assuming that is only for ZR1 (?) more info in the coming months once GM finalizes everything and puts out the new 209 order guide.
NOR WAS I ABLE to see an Automatic Z06… Now don’t you performance guys get mad at me. I know in my heart, GM would sell tons in an auto Z06, I have been over this time and time again and the folks buying one would even sacrifice performance #’s just for the right to own one. GM I know you’re watching and I know either an auto Z or an auto ZR1 done and sitting at the tech center……LET ‘ER ROLL GUYS!
Other notes for 2009, all the convertibles tops as of now, stay the same Beige, Black and Gray. (FYI gray is the top on the new 2008 Pace car!) We are asuming the new wheel option, which is the exisiting QG7 high polished wheel design for coupe and convertible, now that it will be coming in a CHROME option is wheel code Q9V ( no cost on this yet)
Z06 appears to get a new package 4LZ or will that again, be for ZR1. One thing across the board it looks like we are going to get and you’ll see it next month, is something that should have been from day one and that is an all black leather wrap interior option (195).
Each year we all know there are upgrades to occur, again just don’t forget the incredible values and opportunities in front us now. The Corvette is an amazing value! If all goes as it has in the past, we will be able to enter 2009 orders in May, pricing in June 1st limited arrivals in July/August of this year. Watch our Weekly Constraint update section for any news concerning early build out of options and colors as we head down the home stretch of 2008 ordering. Also watch for additions of any new models coming for 2008, one confirmed already is the 2008 Indy Pace Car replica, another one soon….
all of this awaits GM’s final approval
