4LT/3LZ “DELAY” Update…
You can call it what you want, and I apologize if someone flipped and only read what they wanted to read…My personal assumption of a LONG MAJOR delay was to use the word Cancelled in a recent article I had posted. My previous article did say FOR NOW…In this article is the actual communication we got from General Motors, but let’s face it, when they are sending orders back to us to alter, YEAH, I call that a cancel..or let’s just say for the sake of argument…MAJOR DELAY. Thank-you for understanding.
Some folks felt the need to post elsewhere that I was providing false information, in their eyes I was…so again, I am sorry if we all read something different into the info we receive. I know when you are center stage,,,you are going to take some shots..oh well, no problem. My commitment is to the true Corvette fan and enthusiast.

“Subject: Delay in production of Custom Leather Wrap Interiors
Date: October 1, 2007
Due to supply challenges associated with the two new Custom Leather Wrap interiors (245 & 425), production of this new option has been temporarily stopped. Your dealership has one or more orders affected by this production disruption.
Resumption of production is not anticipated until sometime in late November 2007. As a result, we believe that the best available alternative is to return these orders to your “placed” tab and allow you the opportunity change the order to select a currently available interior trim. All of our other interior trims are currently available and can be scheduled for October production.
Orders changed by Tuesday October 9, 2007 will be expedited to production. Any orders still containing a Custom Leather Wrap interior on October 9, 2007 will be moved back into the production schedule and targeted for a probable late November or early December build.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this situation may cause. “
So, I will continue to take your orders for this upgraded classy interior knowing it will take time, but we will see it eventually. Thank-you for the understanding.
