Busy Week-NEXT WEEK @ EVS!
EVS is very proud and excited to be a part of the National Corvette community. Next week proves to be yet another memorable and exciting week. Thanks to my friends at GULF COAST CORVETTES.COM I’ll be attending the unique VETTES & JETS on the LEX Corvette Show. There is a huge waiting list of hundreds to get on the air craft carrier for this event, and we’ll be there! YOU BET, I’ll have tons of picture highlights in a gallery already started via tab in upper right hand corner.

Also next week EVS Chevrolet-Random Lake is proud to welcome Jerry Burton to our store as he gives a talk about Corvette; Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow during the Milwaukee SAE meeting……..
During its 50-year plus history, the Corvette has developed into much more than an automotive nameplate. It has become one of the world’s most recognized automobiles. How the Corvette came to be one of the most popular sports cars in the world — and the longest running nameplate in Chevrolet history — is a rich and compelling story that combines engineering, politics, passion, performance, design and popular culture.
Author and Corvette Quarterly magazine editor Jerry Burton takes us on a journey through the history of Corvette, from the fledgling days under first chief engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov to today under Tom Wallace where the sixth-generation Corvette has become a new performance benchmark for two-seat sports cars. Burton is the author of Corvette, America’s Sports Car, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, Hugh Lauter Levin (2006) and Zora Arkus-Duntov, the Legend Behind Corvette, Bentley Publishers.
Jerry Burton is the founding editor and current Editorial Director of Corvette Quarterly magazine and four other publications. He holds a journalism degree as well as Master of Arts in telecommunications and film, and has been a practicing journalist for over 15 years, including working as motorsports editor for AutoWeek Magazine and managing editor of Racecar Magazine. Jerry has been long associated with Chevrolet and Corvette.
He is the author of the award-winning “Heartbeat of America” themeline for Chevrolet, and is a founding member of the board of directors of the National Corvette Museum with full access to museum archives.
Jerry is in a unique position to author Zora Arkus-Duntov’s biography. He is a trusted personal friend of the Duntovs with full access to all of Zora’s papers and documents, is personally acquainted with many of Duntov’s associates, and has received the full support of General Motors and the Chevrolet Motor Division.
