Here in the middle of winter and one storm after another, I don’t care what anyone says, Vette Season is here. We have had the pleasure of dealing with increasing emails, calls and vistors to our store. All of you pumped about owning a Corvette, now isn’t that what it is all about, the excitement, the passion and the reward for yourself…!? You’re damn right it is.

Breaking News more updates later & Final Confirmations from GM to come! WE HEARD, Tom Hill got a spanky spank for releasing this data….(oops) Via one of sponsorship sites, a member there was attending the NCRS Awards Banquet in Kissimmee, Florida,a NEW GT1 CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION was ANNOUNCED FOR 2009 Corvettes.

Tom Hill, Quality Engineering Manager of the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, announced this on Saturday night and they begin such LIMITED orders this spring. We would have to imagine that after everyone is PACE CAR-ed out, this is the next wave of fun from GM…and I am one of the biggest Pace car fans out there…

This package is not to be confused with an earlier announced package the CSC Competition pkg also announced for spring production of Corvette. BACK ON POINT, what has been shared so far regarding the New GT1 ( as Corvette racing leaves this bracket of racing) here is what you are said to get:

MAN, February 23rd can’t get here fast enough for Bowling Green ,KY when they fire up the Corvette assembly plant to resume building 2009 Corvettes, especially the ZR1….Here is yet another accolade for the new King of the Hill.

The 2009 Corvette ZR1 was one of 10 performance cars to be nominated by an international panel of 59 journalists to win the coveted 2009 World Performance Car of the Year award. With its 638 hp supercharged V8 engine and a performance to dollar ratio unmatched anywhere, the ZR1 has catapulted the Corvette into the ranks of the top supercars.

In case you have not tuned in lately…..EVS has combined our two Chevrolet stores, we are now located and proudly promoting 4 GM lines here at our new location just off 43 & 33 in Saukville, WI.

We have been getting a lot of calls and emails from various Corvette clubs regarding an EVS Corvette Show this year. I am sorry to say THIS YEAR there will NOT be a show here.

To all of you that were so thoughtful, from our staff here at EVS, the hundreds of well wishers via email,calls,cards and internet forums….Thank-you for your birthday wishes yesterday. Believe me, I was hoping to come in yesterday and just squeak through the day without anyone remembering my birthday, well my buddy Greg plasters it all over the net and my payback from last years post by me to my boss Eric and his 50th was under way….

But seriously, it was a busy day, I was not able to have dinner at home last night, but Greg bought me lunch….your kind words mean more than you’ll ever know - very cool and I thank-you….now I have to get my creaky old ass back to work..vette season and more is just about upon us.
