What a treat and honor last night as we were the guest speaker at the monthly Buckeye Corvette Club meeting.

I was impressed at the turn out, nearly 200 members and looked like half were there. What also impressed me was how organized everything was, I sat through there meeting part before talking and was awesome to hear how involved and busy this club is….parades, community events, socials, charities and more - nice job gang!

All the years I have been selling Corvette, Milo had one and then other things in life understandably were more important, but one day he knew he would have another….I would see him many times at the dealership and I always wanted to be the guy when he got his Corvette again…17 years later he got it…I remember when he picked it up, he said “I bet you never thought I would get one….” (Yes I did!) I also remember Joanne seeing this Yellow one on the floor and yellow stitching, she fell in love with it and Milo was so proud to get it - I was honored to be a part of it.


I just found out we lost Milo recently and he had not had his New Vette even 2 years…..but you know what, HE HAD IT.

“When I bought my new Coughlin Conti Corvette Grand Sport , my two sons asked me who would inherit it if I met my demise. I pondered the question, then told them if I passed away on an even day, the son born on an even day would get it. If it happened on an odd day, the one born on the odd day would get it.

A few weekends later, while river rafting with one of my sons, I was tossed out of the boat. As I floated in the rapids he tossed me a line, I heard my son yelling, “It’s the wrong day!”

As we approach Vette season and it seems to be getting off much sooner than usual, you will hopefully be just like this lucky lady here – Rita from Ohio, out and about enjoying your Corvette! That is what I enjoy promoting, not only the retail side of the Corvette, but rather the lifestyle, the enjoyment, the reward and thrill of having one….regardless of the year.

Rita and her husband Chuck have been incredible supporters over the years, great customers and even now, better friends….their 9th Corvette from me a 2013 ZR1 generated more emails than I have ever gotten from them over the joy they were having in their new car –
AND THAT IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT!
I have to say, when they picked up the ZR1 last summer…I had tears in my eyes, they were so proud and should be of their purchase and I was so excited for them…sorry Chuck , but I have to tell them you too sir, had tears in your eyes bro……

They are getting one of our first 2014 C7 Corvettes, (#10) but before that, there is a lot of Corvette-ing to do.

I’d like to share a couple of the emails they sent last year and hope you too; are doing the same….absolutely nothing but driving and enjoying YOUR Corvette!

I love working at a Corvette focused Chevrolet store….people coming in, working here and myself get excited everyday!

I love to hear the reactions when people pull in and they see all our Corvettes, they KNOW they are in the right place. Even our clean up department gets into it…Tanner vacuumed this in the rear hatch of a delivery the other day. I wish they could do that all the time…but still thought it was nice to share.
